Yes, I use CrashPlan as well.  And yes, it's free if you don't use their
cloud storage options.  Personally, I find their cloud storage option worth
the cost to get my backups off site.

If what I googled about storeGrid is correct, it doesn't look that cheap,
especially as there seems to be a per-gigabyte storage charge.
