[Cialug] Remove Thermal Paste?

There's no danger to the baked goods any more, I only use unleaded gas. We have a propane stove so anything volatile left over will be gone by the time the baked goods get out of the oven.

Just to cover all the bases, I usually use gasohol, so I don't know if it is the gas or alcohol that does the work, but I only have to clean it in one solution to cover both solvents.

Use a nylon, brass, or steel bristled brush, in order of increasing aggressiveness, while holding the heat sink under the surface of the gas to remove the goo. Sometimes it is necessary to let it soak overnight. Cover the pan with aluminum foil to keep the gas from evaporating too fast. I find a 9" X 9" baking pan works great. Just wash the pan and get it back into the kitchen drawer before the wife gets home. That's what I do for the farm machinery parts that need cleaned at any rate.
