Just goes to show, people don't know how to properly run an nmap scan...

Subject: [Cialug] FYI: Pioneer detected an nmap scan last night

I was giving a presentation to the Central Iowa Linux User's Group
(CIALUG.org) last night at Alliance Technologies. The topic of that presentation was "BackTrack 5 Network Security Discovery" (slide deck:
http://goo.gl/tF2zL) It is possible that one of our guests chose to run an nmap discovery scan against pioneer.com while connected to our public wireless. I'm certain there was no malicious intent behind this scan, and it was purely an act of curiosity.
