Live CDs are so 2009. Now it's a live thumb drive (it even rhymes!).

Boot speed is so incredibly fast, and you can configure it to have
persistent storage. A 1GB drive works great (gives about 200MB for
persistence. That's nice if you want to have proprietary drivers that need
to be downloaded.

(update: docs[1] say that 2GB is a better size)
