[Cialug] Avocent IP KVM

Ah.

Ours is an IP-based system, but not remotable. You need an end-unit to connect into it. We have three KVM "switch" devices and four (I think) end-unit "console" things. It's Raritan.

We're moving out of our old data center this Fall. We could probably give you some if now and the rest after the final move if you need it fast. If I recall correctly, it'll support around 80 systems. We have both PS/2 and USB dongles that we'd include.

It sounds like it might not be what you need though. If you're interested in more, let me know and I'll try to pull together some technical details.

Java isn't a big problem - I assume you're talking about a browser app?

Was that updating the SW on the unit?

I assume the DSR2161 is fairly old, then, what would be "missing" compared
to newer units?

        Thanks!
