[Cialug] Syncing music, mythtv, itunes, rhythmbox

My laptop is a dual-boot configuration. I use Mac OS sometimes and Ubuntu
others. I keep my music organized in iTunes and then map it to my home
directory in Ubuntu and listen to it in Rhythmbox. I also have a mythtv
server.

I was wondering if there's a way to synchronize my music to mythtv so that
my playlists show up there. I can obviously just copy the music and it'll
show up, but not in my playlists. I have also played with scripts that
synchronize playlists to removable media by exporting them but if the same
file is in multiple playlists then it would be exported twice.

Is there a good way to manage everything centrally? I'm not terribly fond of
either iTunes or Ryhtmbox, or, for that matter, MythTV. I mainly use iTunes
to sync my iPod. The one thing is I'd like to have my music somewhere on my
laptop for listening unplugged as well as on my network in case of tragedy
and to listen to in the family room.
