[Cialug] nfs permissions

Trying to setup a nas box for system backup, .. have not dealt much with
nfs - is there any way to xet the permissions properly on files created in
the mounted drive?

For example, a file is created as nobody:nogroup, .. but a backup must
perserve uid/gid & permissions for, say, home directories.

I'd like to use rsnapshot to create a versioned backup, but it does not
seem to be possible on a nfs drive?
