[Cialug] Which software to use for a SAN

SMB only, or iSCSI and NFS also?

I've tested with Nexenta, and it seems to work pretty well but hardware
support is a little touchy. Supports NFS, SMB, and iSCSI. The admin
interface is very nice.

Need to start putting together some arrays with 4+ TB of backups on them.

Not sure whether to use Nexenta, Openfiler, or FreeNAS. Will probably be
using software raid and want to have SMB support as well as being able to
run vmware images on them.
