Any chance you can share your samba conf file?

Also, do you know what means you are using for name resolution? WINS or DNS? I assume you already have WINS enabled on your client if it was accessing a different share on another machine. Perhaps you are using IP addresses?

Ubuntu 10.10 desktop.
What do I have to do in order to share the entire 300gb second hdd that I have setup seperate from the os? This is on my home network so the first step is just getting things to work.

I have samba installed and at first I was using webmin to change settings but that doesn't seem to be working like it did with mandriva 2k7.
The mandriva box died so I no longer have an example to go by.
I now have GADMIN-SAMBA installed but something is not working as now samba has disappeared from the network-no longer showing up on other ms and linux boxes.
I've tried manually restarting with no luck, I've must have mucked up samba.conf some where.
I've also been trying to set it up for the ps3 media share.
I tried media tomb first since thats what was working on mandriva but I couldn't get it to work with ubuntu-so I removed it and installed pms-linux media server.

Maybe I tried too many things at once?
So what have I missed? Or is there something easier/better way to do this?
