The answer is: Yes, you just volunteered to organize it. :)

We've done several of them in the past... the attendance has been really 
poor for the last few events, possibly due to a lack of advertising. 
Back in the "good old days", when Linux was harder to install and 
configure, an Installfest was a good way to help new people out. Now 
Linux is really easy to install, run off a live CD, or a VM image, so an 
Installfest has limited appeal.

I think having people do demos and training on Linux and F/OSS apps may 
be more popular?
