[Cialug] OT: Best phone for the geek

Apple is releasing an official SDK in 2 days (last word I heard this
AM). It's been delayed a bit from a previous February promise, but is
currently supposed to happen on the 6th. That will probably end the
dearth of games (and other add-ons).

I haven't taken the iPhone (or iPod touch) plunge yet either, mostly
due to cost - I currently have a pretty bare bones phone and no data
plan, so adding on the extra $20 / mo (I'm already an AT&T customer)
would be tough on top of the $400 initial cost.

Now that they have somewhat bigger "HD's" they're more attractive as
well, I figure if I hold out long enough, there'll be one w/ both Edge
& 3G now that the 3g chips aren't as battery hungry.
