[Cialug] OT: Looking for a good verizon phone for my non-geek loved one

Howdy luggers,

I am looking for a phone for my significant other.

Here's our requirements list, in order of priority:
  - Must work on Verizon's network. (I know, but we have contracts.)
  - Must have a strong transceiver.  This probably implies a real
antenna rather than an integrated one.
  - Should be physically sturdy.  Doesn't need to be military grade,
but sturdier than an iPhone or a RAZR.
  - Would be nice if it had bluetooth OBEX for getting custom
ringtones, wallpapers, and phonebook entries in and out.

And that's pretty much it.  We are not looking for a PDA type phone or
a web browser, just a regular phone with comparably good reception out
on the interstate.  Probably no qwerty; I would expect us to favor
flip-type phones given the use case.

Does anyone here know of any phones I should examine?  Some I might in
particular stay away from?
