All of our FPGA developers develop under RedHat RHEL 4. All of the
commercial tools have Linux versions. They are using:

Modelsim
Synplify
Altera Quartus
Xilinx ISE

Might check to see if they have some low end free tools.

Anyone done any FPGA workflow under Linux? Xilinx has a free program
for their lower-end chips but I haven't used it yet. Any free
verilog/VHDL compilers?
