I'll find the link today, however, has anyone used knockd? And with what OS install? How was the install/configuration? (http://www.zeroflux.org/cgi-bin/cvstrac.cgi/knock/wiki)

Subject: [Cialug] SSH ports Security Paper - Theron?

I hope Theron will be able to share the paper he was talking about for SSH attacks.

The obvious next-question, is what is a good port to put ssh on, if you want to follow some kind of logical progression, but not one that would be obvious to people trying the next logical port. How do you make it obvious to yourself and trusted others without making it too obvious. Maybe we need an SSH client that can simultaneously check your 3 favorite alternate ssh ports when you try to connct to a host?
