[Cialug] Qwest Actiontec M1000 + Netgear WGR614 Router = Double NAT :-(

I've been pulling my hair out the past few days on this one, and was
wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

Last week I switch over from Mediacom to Qwest. So out with the good old
cable modem, in with the evil new DSL modem. I specifically ordered the
basic modem so I could use my existing router, not realizing that even the
basic modem does DHCP and NATing.

My router is supposed to handle PPPoE, and I've placed the ActionTec into
Bridge mode which is supposed to turn it into a dummy modem. Alas, this
hasn't worked for me at all.

So for those familiar with Qwest, two questions.

1) How do I verify the PPPoE userID/Pass? I should mention here that the
ISP is the Microsoft one :-(
2) Is setting the modem to bridge mode the correct way to handle this?

Muchas Gracious,
Aaron Korver
