Pandora sounds fine to me playing Brave Combo and Johnny Cash.  I'm
running Kubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn).

What version of Ubuntu are you running?  (on the command line do: 'cat
/etc/issue')
What kind of sound card do you have? (do: 'lspci |grep audio')
Try playing with alsamixer. (do: 'alsamixer', there might be a gui for
this too.)
