[Cialug] Winter Gaming event?

Shoot, and here I thought we were going to hold this at your house,
Dave.

Sounds good to me.  If anyone has an objection to the $10 cover, please
raise the issue here or at the next meeting.  Otherwise, I'll update the
event to include this information.

I'm all for a LAN party.

FYI, the Des Moines Gaming Group (of which I'm a member, along with
other CIALUG'ers like Barry, Bryan...) is planning to hold their next
LAN party tentatively on 12/8/2007 at InPlay.

I would like to propose that CIALGU holds the Winter Gaming event
along
with the DSMGG LAN.

Benefits:

- we'll already have a venue
- we'll already have the infrastructure (network, power, internets)

We could also do a Linux vs. Windows gamer tourney, running something
open source.

DSMGG does charge $10 per attendee, to cover costs.
