Interestingly, all cultures have seemingly recognized and honor this
principle. We've even given it a standard appellation ("The Golden
Rule") and a single-sentance specification ("Do unto others as you
would have them do unto you.")

What politicians suffer from is not The Golden Rule - it's either
"pathological indecision" or "volatile truth".
