[Cialug] Question for Thinkpad T40,T41,T42 owners

I've just purchased a used Thinkpad, and the battery is not charging. I 
need to find out if it's the battery's fault or the laptop's fault.  If 
someone out there has a T40 series laptop and would be up for meeting 
over lunch to try and swap batteries for a short recharge session (you 
try to charge mine and I'll try to charge yours), I'll gladly buy lunch.
