[Cialug] Odd Kubuntu issue

Sorry, I wasn't very clear.  This is a laptop.  If I boot right to a bash prompt it's all good, keyboard works fine.  It's not until I launch KDE does this silliness happen.  I'll try renaming .kde and see where that gets me.
