Here's a couple more links for you...

This one is by Ryan "Icculus" Gordon, who has done a number of the 
commercial game ports to Linux. Many of the games here are old 
commercial games have been released under GPL or similar licenses. I 
love the space combat game Freespace 2...

This is an improved port of Descent 2, with Windows, Mac and Linux 
versions available. Monsterball is a blast to play at LAN parties. I'm 
going to a small private LAN in a couple of weeks, I think we may play 
some of this then. :)

BTW - I can't promise anything yet, but there are rumblings that the old 
DSMGG folks may try to do another LAN this year.
