I just wanted to say, that Bacula really seems to be working out well for
networked backup of both Windows and Linux Machines. (/me makes note to go
try OSX).

It has a super-steep learning curve (IMHO) but once you dig in it is very
capable software. I was at the disadvantage of not understanding linux tape
devices etc. as well. It probably lacks some enterprise-type features -
like deduplication and HSM but I think it serves the needs of our company
OK.

Anyway, if you are looking for a capable (albeit, not completely friendly)
network backup system you should check out Bacula.

Dave asked me to talk about Bacula at a meeting, but I haven't been able to
drag my lazy bones to one in a while.
