[Cialug] Expo cancelled

Eastern Iowa Computer Expo canceled (Sept 8th).

It is readily apparent that we have a lack of interest problem.  I place no
blame.

Some factors may not have been fully considered.
Marketing to the wrong crowd- Most geeks already have their own inventory of
stuff. Who needs any more?

The economy- It's not that bad. Why not buy new instead of taking a chance
on someone else's unwanted hardware. 

Time of year- There may not be anything such as the best time of year but
September is a month crowded with activity. 

The list could probably extend well beyond the above but you get the point.
Not a good idea at not a good time.

This could be a useful topic of conversation in the future. What does it
take to have a successful event?
