I'd like to see a specific reference. There is a LOT of "fine print"
there. :) I couldn't find anything in any of the documents I looked at.

(The documents I referr to are all found under "Legal" at the bottom of
their home page.)

For new domains, they state "If you fail to renew your domain name, you
agree that Go Daddy may, at its sole discretion, renew your expired
domain name on your behalf." (Second paragraph under Domain Name
Renewals in the "Domain Registration Agreement")

For domain renewals, on their "Domain Name Transfer Agreement", section
3. Terms for Transferring Domain Names, it says:

"Upon successful transfer, GoDaddy.com, Inc. shall become the Registrar
of Record. You will still be the Registrant of the domain -- Go Daddy
will become the Registrar of the domain name."

Is that what you were referring to? Or is there other fine print that
contradicts this?

Agreed. So click past it.

They also send you a ton of email with this month's "special". So delete it.

I also hear that Bob Parson's isn't quite the fuzzy teddy bear that he
pruports to be in public. Big deal. I've never had a problem with his
operation.

I changed DNS for a bunch of domains with GoDaddy, and the changes took
effect within 15 minutes. Changes with another registrar took over 10
hours. I've found that DNS changes with GoDaddy are always nearly
instanteous. No beef here.
