[Cialug] help me tame my router?

I have been (am still) having this problem. The router didn't always do
that. My problems didn't start until a few months ago. I know I had to
get a new Actiontec at one time (the old Actiontec stopped working), but
I can't remember if I had the problem shortly before the new router, or
right after.

I tried hardcoding the correct values into the router itself with no
luck. I eventually got so irritated I set up a cron job to run every 15
minutes and check to see if 192.168.0.1 was in the resolv.conf. If so,
it overwrites it with a new (and correct) resolv.conf, if not, goes back
to sleep.
