I didn't see Knoppix mentioned.  I've got a bunch of older and newer 
Knoppix discs burned, so don't burn one yourself -- I'll bring them to 
the next meeting or we can arrange a meet-up.

I run Knoppix 2.x (3 < x < 6) on an old Toshiba laptop with a P133 
processor.  Works great as a VNC client to the 1.4 GHz system upstairs.
