I can't believe I am suggesting it, but Gentoo is supposed to be able to run
on older hardware. (shiver)

You can even recompile the whole distribution to match your hardware.  ;-)
May take a week or longer on a p75 though.

does anyone know of a linux distro that will run on a old computer? its 
a p75 40mb ram and 6gb hdd. i've tried debian 3r2 but keep messing up 
things when installing X.
