You may want to check out slimserver at slimdevices.com.  It includes a JAVA
client for listening to the streams, or you can use things like winamp or
even mp3123.  Just about any streaming client.  

It's _very_ easy to set up and has web-based configuration.  

The hardware stereo component is decent too, but not required.

any of you mess with icecast?

i'm trying to setup a streaming jukebox so my mp3s are always playing with
the ability to throw in a request every now and then.

i'm messing with calliope (http://neil.verplank.org/opensource/calliope/)

not sure what exactly the problem is with this thing. just wondering if any
of you had fiddled with such an idea in the past?

i'm running fc3
