FC3 knows SATA Drives.  Ability to do hardware raid really depends on the
controller though.  Many of the controllers seem more geared to work with
Windows.  I think this is very true of many motherboard controllers.

Dave C. was asking about this a while back.  What did you end up doing Dave?


I can't recommend 3WARE controllers enough but their SATA RAID cards are at
least 2x as expensive as the IDE ones.

Oh Great Gods of Linux Land tell me true.

Does Fedora Core 3 play nice with SATA drives or not?
Single drive or in a RAID 1 setup?

If not, what Distro would or could? Mandrake, Debian, ???
