A little while back when the story about the Linux patent violations 
broke, some people thought MS wouldn't risk the public backlash if they 
tried to sue based on those. Guess they were wrong.

If MS wants to play that game, IMHO they're going to open up a can of 
worms, and have a lot of people (IBM, Novell, Sun...) going at them with 
patent infringements. After the smoke clears, only the lawyers will be 
standing. Standing in a huge pile of money.

Too bad Scott M's not making shirts any more. You know that "grep this" 
shirt? How about a "patent this" shirt?
