Software Freedom Day is a global grassroots effort to promote the use of Free and Open Source Software.
The Central Iowa Linux Users Group will be hosting its annual Linux install fest in conjunction with this event.

Events planned for CIALUG's Software Freedom Day event include:

  • ALL Day - Linux demo computers for the public to experience.
  • ALL Day - Free Software CD handouts.
  • 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Linux Install Fest.
    • We will install Linux on your computer free of charge. CDs are provided. We will also assist with the install of other FOSS software.
  • 2:30 PM to 4 PM - A Showing of Revolution OS.
    • Special thanks to Wonderview Productions for allowing CIALUG to present a viewing of Revolution OS without charge.
